It was an awesome meal and the wines were great! I am not sure if it was Aldo who served us but I knew I wanted Pinot Noir and these were both recommended. I did have to modify this blog though as when I ordered the second bottle I said I wanted Oregon and I got the Lynmar which is Russian River Valley and I didn't catch it.

Sounds like an awesome meal! Aldo Sohm, Le Bernardin sommelier, is an incredible knowledgeable and approachable guy. He's also won the best sommelier in the world award! Were these his recommendations or did you hand pick the wines?

I love to see NYC recognizing and appreciating Pinot Noir. Like you said, it is so versatile and food-friendly. Congrats to Brickhouse and Lynmar (which I have not yet tried but must) for making it onto such a presigious list! Great post!
